Does anyone know how to use C# or Java scripting for Nintendo file script editing? I want to change some variable in a old nintendo game. The problem is that the code is unreadable and I have no barrings of what to edit. Not all games are like this. I have edited other games with no problems.
Not the text thats said in the game or the graphics or color. I want to tell the script not to run a certain aspect in the game. I want in nes baseball, for there to be no tiredness on the pitcher or a way to make it less of a problem in the game, maybe even delete that process all together. I have windows 7 so I can't use c++.
I just want to be able to read it like the other nes files. The graphics are compressed or something? Is it just not possible with this game? Is there other script editing programs for free I can try to use? Googling it is only giveing me the run around so any help would be so greatly appreciated.

In order to change the programming logic (for instance, set the pitcher's tiredness to some unreasonable maximum value), you would need to load the ROM into an emulator and enable debugging and tracing. You would have to then find the memory address of the variable that holds pitcher tiredness and set that to some unreasonable maximum value (255?) :)
Such a thing is far too advanced for someone who thinks that you need C# or Java scripting to hack ROMs, and who thinks that C++ doesn't work on Windows 7. :lmao:
