Talking about all of these older games has me yearning for the maps of old..

My only disclaimer is I did not play before Modern Warfare.

COD 4: Modern Warfare I'd like to think all but about 1 or 2 of the maps from this game were absolutely perfect, so I won't list them all. I will just list my favorites

Ambush A very good map from COD4, one of the most balanced maps around as it was just about flipped mirror image from the other side.

Crash So much fun. Long corridors. Close quarters... just pure fun

Crossfire This is where I learned that running down an empty street was a horrible idea if the other team had a great sniper. BLOPs had a map very similar to this one years later

World at War I had to restrain myself from posting more COD4 maps, as I do think they were all just so great. WAW

Cliffside Loved this map, but I loved the golf course remake in BLOPs better.

Nightfire Pretty good multiplayer map. Der Riese Zombie map was based off of this if I recall correctly.

Lets Move on

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 a board favorite

Estate Not much to say other than I really liked it.

Favella One of the things that Advanced Warfare likes to brag about is the verticality of the game. This map has that verticality without all the super jumps and jet packs.

Highrise Probably my MW2 favorite or atlease in a 3 way tie with terminal or scrapyard

Scrapyard The airplane graveyard. I got my first nuke on this map.

Terminal This map is good. Good enough that they re-released it for MW3. I think one of the reasons I love it so much is because it reminds me of an old Rogue Spear map that some friends and I used to play.

Call of Duty: Black Ops my favorite entry despite the hit detection.

Firing Range Another map so good that they had to remake it on a later entry.

Havanna Very similar to COD4's Crossfire.

Nuketown With a good team, everyone can finish with 100 kills on a Dom game. Just don't go past the front of the house or the spawn flips.

Cracked I did not find this map terribly good, but Ross (goes under the alias: Ross) absolutely hates it, which means the entire lobby would vote for it just to hear him whine.

The Downward Spiral.... Modern Warfare 3 This game was not bad, but it certainly was not good either. It did have some good maps though.

Dome Usually a favorite of most MW3 players

Lockdown My favorite from MW3

Resistance A pretty good S&D map.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2--- Maybe there is hope?

Drone Not a horrible map?

Raid meh...

Standoff ok?

Call of Duty: Ghosts This game did not do everything wrong... just almost everything wrong.

Prison Break Interesting they have a map called prison break. Just like the TV show this is the way of Call of Duty... Pretty good map though.

Octane fun map... hindered by a weak game.

Overall there have been some really good maps in the COD library. While I did not mention every great map, I mentioned a few of my favorites. The front end is loaded with OT 9.5s while the backend is full of questionable WYHI's
