i would do walls and upgrades.
i'm at TH8 and will probably stay here for quite a while. the looting is too good to move up.

Use gems for that gold/elixir and upgrade out those builders to work and don't do it speed up process

Some use gems to finish things (such as wizard towers/mortars/etc) because they don't want to wait 5-8 days, I wouldn't recommend that. Just use the gems to fill your storages and wait it out all while keeping builders busy. Idk what your plan was that's mine

For 8700 gems i would get 69 days of build time, but that doesn't include the gold i would have to buy to do it all at once
i couldn't finish all the upgrades i have left at th8 with all those gems

So for an army of 200 at TH 8 you could go 100 archers, 6 wb, 8 giants, 48 goblins, 10+3+4+6 = 23 gems for at least 100k gold + 100k elixir. Assuming you averaged 150k gold per 200 troops (probably wouldn't need that) You could get 5 million gold with 760 gems, plus you'd get close to 5 million in elixir along the way.
I'd use the rest of the gems to build up more gold for walls.
I'd think that's a better trade in than gemming up your storage myself.

it seems i have found a trophy sweet spot where nobody will attack me. i've went nearly 2 days now without anybody attacking me. i've just been harvesting from my mines like i've had a shield.
this has happened before but last time i attacked someone and changed trophy number and screwed up the peace treaty. currently sitting at 1246 trophies. so now i'm just not gonna attack anybody, gonna wait till someone attacks me. see how long i can go without being attacked...
oh and just started my queen upgrading to lvl 11

How expensive is she?
Mine is lvl 6 and she cost 35k DE to upgrade, king is lvl 8 and cost same to upgrade

It happens....
I got up to 2199 then promptly lost 3 straight battles I thought I could win and then got attacked

Wouldn't surprise me. I had been wondering why my cc kept coming up empty after being attacked. So I just stopped requesting troops unless I really needed them. My cc has remained empty for awhile now. Felt like I was requesting numerous times throughout the day whereas used to I maybe requested once or twice a day if that.
