I've got my first level of troops all to 5
I have lvl 2 archer/Minotaur girls and working on lvl 2 griffons now....
Lvl 7 TH and nothing to upgrade

I dunno, I've been using
6 lvl 2 tree creatures
12 lvl2 griffons
15 lvl5 wizards
I keep playing with it till I figure out what to use. I learned always keep base full since troops you use also play defense. So if I know I'm gonna log off I make all griffons

Trees = giants since they go for defensive units first....
I use them because that gun thing does dmg

Most basic thing to do is build up defense/troops and then worry about storages.
You can gain gems daily for logging on, doing arena, stealing gold/elixir. Also, by downloading apps in the "free gem" section (which I do then delete apps)
Get hero's and use them in battle against others or dungeons to lvl them and upgrade them when they max out.

That's what I was, but I've fought so nigh my Might is in the 3k range so I'm going against harder bases

By attacking others or doing dungeons
You will have 1/2 pumps to start out and they will produce gold/elixir and as you upgrade them they produce more

I've got two lvl 3 gold mines and 2 level 3 mana fills already. I figured in a game like this, you want that stuff to reproduce as fast as possible.

You can upgrade like crazy so you won't be a target for attack. Get your coffers full and then upgrade something.

How do I win arena battles? The one where you have people on each side and try to destroy the castle. I rarely get to the castle because they just kill me.
