Surely they understand that these characters were drawn over actual, real humans. The models may not look as thin as the final product, but probably closer to it than the fat version.

Don't care about the bikini chick. But Jade is a damn superhuman assassin. She will NOT be anything less than peak physical conditioning.

There are really only 2 or 3 that are "realistic" given their character roles. Heavy chicks are not rock climbing like Laura Croft, ninja fighting, running, sprinting, jumping like the characters they chose. I see their point but it would be more appropriate wildly popular to produce games like The Notebook: The Game or a Steel Magnolias game.
It's not like the games are chalk full of their definition of realistic male characters either.

So, female characters in fantasy/action/adventure/fighting games that are engaging in martial arts, fantastical combat and other various forms of physical activity in fantastical/extreme environments are in top physical shape? Color me shocked.
Realism, if they want to make the characters in The Sims look 'avaerage' (by their standards), OK, fine by me. The characters in Sims are cooking food, sitting on the couch and taking a bath. Not fighting to the death against rogue mitilias bent on world conquest, while searching for a long lost ancient artifact capable of world destruction in the Amazon rain forest.

Uh, my Sim is a fricking astronaut. If he's not studying math and physics, he's working out. You don't get to be a top jet pilot, then astronaut by sitting around. He's gonna be President some day.
