Now I just wish I had added all those free VITA games from PSPlus over the years

Enjoy! You can dig up the old Vita thread if you want recommendations.

I have tried not to go too crazy with buying games right off the bad. I bought a physical copy of Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Everything else, I'm just going to install on a 16GB memory card. I bought Tales of Hearts R (on sale), Killzone Mercenary, Dissidia 012 (on sale), and Powerstone Collection.

There's a lot of games available for the thing when you factor in PSX classics, PSP titles, and PS-VITA games, but there are a lot of console ports. On one hand, it's cool to have a portable system that can run full console quality games (albeit with a graphical downgrade), but I do see the futility in buying something like Dynasty Warriors 8 or World of Final Fantasy for the VITA when I can get it on PS4.

I would be amazing if the VITA ports were all cross-buy but alas. I don't know if Nintendo realizes the potential they are sitting on with the Switch.

LBP, Wipeout, Lumines, Gravity Rush are must gets, IMO.

Golden Abyss has a terrible framerate. The lower-than-native resolution also makes it look pretty fuzzy, but it probably looked looked better on the OLED model as opposed to the LCD which I have.

Killzone Mercenary is probably the best Killzone FPS I have played. I don't know why they don't switch to the same gameplay style for the home console versions.

The touchscreen controls are really annoying on virtually everything I have played thus far.

I agree with Mercenary being the best Killzone.

It really is damn good and the multiplayer is surprisingly still pretty active. Killzone Liberation for PSP is also avail on Vita and even though its a topdown shooter it also pretty good.

Should give Tearaway a shot. I love it's integration of touch controls into the game.

Something like that would be fun, but Uncharted's "SWIPE DIAGONALLY TO PUNCH A DUDE" or "SWIPE THE SCREEN TO WIPE DIRT OFF THE ARTIFACT" is stupid as hell. Killzone's screenswipe melee attacks aren't much better. Blows my mind why anyone thought those were good ideas in the early days of touch screen gaming

I just bought one too and I went to Gamestop and went on a cheapo game binge.

Several of the Lego games, Ragnarok Odyssey, The Show, etc plus the MG Solid HD collection because I love MGS2 and want to play #3.

The other main stuff I plan on playing are PS stuff I bought on sale at Christmas such as FF7, Suikoden 1 and 2, etc.

I actually didn't mind the swipe the dirt off the artifact. I also liked using the touch controls to plan ahead the climbing parts. It made it go so much faster and it felt natural to just draw the path and he followed.

Not all of it worked. It was a launch game that tried to do a bit much of it. I admire it's attempt because it's definitely deserving of being an entry in the series.
