I am sure I am in the minority, but I just started playing this about 2 weeks ago.

I am enjoying it more than BL2. The low gravity is fun. Lasers are fun. Freezing people is fun. The removal of slag is a godsend.

The best part about it is the story. They took the most interesting story element from BL2, Handsome Jack, and are turning it into a pretty fun story so far.

I just hit lvl 24 last night on the first play through and I am playing the Doppelganger. Having a blast with it.

Anyone else think TPS is just as (if not more) fun than BL2?

Anyone else not know why it kind of got shite on when it released?

It doesn't have the replayability of its predecessor. Most of that is from a confluence of design choices. Because you do a lot of fighting in Space, Fire weapons are bad. And there isn't a section with a ton of Armored enemies, corrosive is less than stellar. This leads you down a linear path for every character which is "1) Get Electric Laser 2) Profit", that and ClapTrap was near useless as a PC.

I agree the story is better than 2, but the gameplay is a lot more shallow compared to 2, which means you'll beat it once, and probably not play it again.

Good points here.

I really don't like the slag mechanic in BL2 however. Glad to see it gone in TPS
