I'll eventually get both, but I want to concentrate my time on one right now. My backlog is ridiculous already.

I'd play both back to back. If you don't end up killing yourself afterwards, you'll know you can handle anything.

I haven't played Bloodborne, but I'd say go with that one, simply because it's the hot thing now, and since it's not a sequel to DS2, you won't have to worry about missing out on anything.

I would probably pick DS2 first. Although they aren't directly related, it might feel tough to go "backwards" from BB to DS2, at least from a gameplay standpoint.

If you just want to play one of them, go with BB.

Assuming you've played DS1?

If not, play DS1 first

If so, go with BB

Watch footage/streams from both and decide which looks more enjoyable to you.

But you should know that a lot of people are having problems with weapon durability in DS2. It's a big problem that needs to be patched, and I don't know if it will or not.

it absolutely should be. people are saying that you cant go from bonfire to bonfire without a weapon breaking. that has to be a bug

It's due to it being in 60fps. It was a problem on PC too but there are more enemies in Scholar, so your weapon breaks incredibly fast.

I'm trying to coach a friend through it and he can't make it to the cardinal tower bonfire and get the key to the blacksmith because ALL of his weapons break on the way there. It's a nightmare for new players.

I didn't notice that until you mentioned it, but now that I think about the weapons do seem less durable than DS1. I assumed it was part of the game trying to make it more difficult, but it gets to a point where it's not fun difficult but rather just a pain and annoying

It's more of a minor annoyance on last gen, but it's broken in the new release.

If you're going to be playing it now, then bloodborne. A lot more active players so you'll be able to coop more.

I thought it was intended. I just run with a backup of the same weapon (I'm using a weapon that's farmable right now). Yeah they break fast, but they completely regen at bonfires if you don't break them. I haven't had much issue. You just have to be smart with your weapon usage. There's also a ring that decreases the rate your weapons lose durability although I think it's pretty tough to get.

It is not. It is a glitch because of it being 60 FPS now. The old version was not like that. For some reason one hit is registering double now.
