Not really excited, but my roommate insists that I'm playing Diablo 3 with him. I can't convince him to buy my copy, so we are going to have to come up with a compromise.

"Mists of Pandaria" will be the next WoW x-pack.
I will play it long enough to max out my three box toons and then get bored and cancel until the next x-pack again.

Excited for diablo 3 and HoTS.

Have u watched a GSL match lately? At the highest levels, teran has by far the highest win rate. The 1-1-1 build has killed TvP.
I'd say Zerg are the most balanced, and I don't play Zerg.

I should have defined balanced first, Terran is balanced even though the are the best race currently. It's zerg and protoss which are lacking and need to be brought up to speed.
For one, Terran is extremely good at scouting, way better than the other races throughout the game. Their first army unit can counter air. They can wall off and prevent scouting for a critical part of the game. On top of this, Terran doesn't really need to "react" to what an opponent is doing. Their main strategies work extremely well against just about anything.
For Protoss - it's dumb that you have to build a robotics facility in order to get observers to scout. Their tech tree is designed around choosing a path out of three after making the cybernetics core. Right now Protoss are forced to get a robotics facility or lose. Observers are useless late game when the opponent has a ton of defenses.
Zerg has their own problems. They have to upgrade their hatch before getting any anti-air which is strange. Their scouting isn't the best either.
Terran has scans which are so reliable and can't be countered. 1-1-1 owns protoss like you said and they steamroll zerg who don't expand super fast.

The latest patch balanced a lot of what you complained about. It was a Toss Toss final with HuK running shite. MM hotkey A is in trouble for the Koreans.

GSL October:
1 Toss in the round of 16 and NONE in round of 8.
5 Zerg in round of 16 and TWO in round of 8.
10 terran and 6 in top 8.
Terran is still ridiculous and the 1-1-1 continues to work, post patch.

NesTea isnt actually human, so really only one zerg made it to the round of 8.
As far as Huk's MLG victory, I was there, and Huk was playing out of his mind, but he only beat 2 terrans.
He won his pool which was all protoss and julyzerg.
He beat MKP in the semis, then TheSTC in the winners finals, then MC in the grand finals.
All in all, Huk won PvP, beat July, beat one Code S terran and one Code B terran.
It wasn't some rediculous run where he beat the best terrans in the world.
Idra's run on the other hand.......

While he doesn't make the best points to support his argument. Terran is the best race right now, merely by the multitude of options that they have compared to the other races.

Game is pretty balanced right now imo. Terran can wall off and does have a scouting advantage, but if their opponent reacts correctly then they are behind, especially ZvT.

Zerg scouting is a lot better after the patch with cheaper overseers, and their late game scouting is also pretty good due to spreading overlords and the cheapness of lings. Scans are good for terran, but they have to sacrifice economy for every scan. The key is not letting them get so far ahead that they don't need mules anymore.
I would still day terran is the strongest of the 3, but not by much. The last patch fixed alot even though the changes seemed miniscule.
