Best way to gear up - Destiny

Hey guys - I hit 20 with my classes and am in full blues now at level 24...
Now what? What in your opinion is the best way to get those purple and orange pieces?

Strike missions. Vanguard gear

you need vanguard marks/rep.
You can do this easiest by running Roc strikes and public events.
Also complete the Eris quest missions she first gives you, the final reward is legendary arms.

We have a thread for each on the gaming forum and would be the best bet for you to grab a few to help run you through the raid/strikes
If Xbox, I can sherpa you through VoG if you want to attempt it once you hit 27ish

Yeah I'd try that. The lowest I would attempt VOG normal would be 26 and 30 for Crota normal. Otherwise you're barely damaging anything and dying in one shot
