Also up res screenshots. The game looks amazing, especially for a console. Its easily the best looking game released on PS4 but the world feels flat.

The first Bioshock was pretty damn good for the time.

For what, 2006? Damn right. They built a great world in Rapture.

When the plane crashes and you are swimming around to the lighthouse the fire felt real at the time.

Also up res screenshots.
But are they? If this story is to be believed, the photographer took these with the in game photo mode. LINK

If you remember, The Last of Us Remastered also had this option. LINK

Looks like you and the photographer in the above story were both impressed by that hallway. I did a reverse image search to find that story and your screen grab and his are of the same hallway but are slightly different.

For it's time, has to be Metroid Prime. That game still looks amazing, and it's nearly 15 years later. It still holds up.

Metroid Prime
My all time favorite game. Still looks great. Here it is running on the Dolphin emulator at 1080p 60 FPS with a widescreen hack applied.

You could release Metroid Prime again for the first time, and it would still receive as much critical acclaim with the exact same graphics and gameplay. I think it may be the only game that is 15 years or older than you could say the same for. I think it's the game that has aged the most gracefully of all of them.

Super Mario 64 looks nearly as good as the Mario games they make today. Maybe that says more about Nintendo though

I wouldn't go that far. He's very clearly a polygon and looks like shite compared to Galaxy. But the mist and steam coming off Samus' visor and whenever she gets hit you see the reflection in her eyes, and the beauty of the environments. Mario may have been somewhat of a bigger jump, but Metroid Prime's jump still holds up unlike Mario 64.

It looked good at the time but mostly because it was "Mario using 3d graphics." Look at this early gaming mag excerpt.

And here is the actual game in hires:

And here is Super Mario 3D World:

Mario games have always looked amazing for its time. Toussant in The Witcher 3 is amazing. First time I stepped foot on Skellige, I was shocked
