Maps were way more awesome in BC2.

For sure. This thread is gonna make me pick it up again.

I hope they don't drop the ball with bf4 like they did with 3. In my eyes they've got a lot of making up to do.

Bad Company 2 was the most fun I had playing any game. Not sure why I got rid of it on xbox.

I bought BF3 expecting awesome destructible environments like BC2, huge letdown. How did they frick that up?

BFBC2 had its place but I'm ready for whatever comes next. BC2 and its pseudo-destructible environments are on par with the more intricate but less involved BF3 maps (imo). I cannot go back to a game that doesn't have jets, especially since they were the only thing holding back copters from raping ala BC2.

It's one of my favorite games of all time. In some ways it's better than BF3, such as those jet skis you could ramp off the rocks.

Yep. There just seems no end to the creative stuff you can do. You're white knuckling your controller one minute and laughing your arse off at some crazy shite you've just seen go down the next.

I know this will sound super nerdy, but there are about 8 guys I play with several nights a week around 8 PM. We're on xbox though, not Steam.

BFBC2 is by far the most enjoyable game i've played in years.

My GT is tigerbait1981. For those of you who want to get in on it, shoot me a friend request.

I can't seem to find anyone who has it for steam. I didn't realize so many people still played FPS on consoles

I stopped playing FPS on consoles after the N64. I guess I got so caught up with online PC gaming and the online PC gaming communities, that I thought the console FPS community wasn't as large as it was.

It's the driving force in the gaming industry as far as sales go. PC communities are small potatoes in comparison.

I liked BC2 and Vietnam, but the sniping was too much. Much prefer BF3.

I'll hit you up. Son's account, but I occasionally commandeer it to play BFBC2.

ETA: Anyone else care to revisit the game?

The no scope sway in BC2 was awesome if you like sniping. The head shots you could pull off from a distance were incredible, especially on that water map with the hills. I would hide in the bushes and just piss people off. It is much harder to snipe in BF3.

After reading this thread I'm itching to play it. I traded it in a long time ago but I think Gamestop has it for <$10.

I'm pretty much a weekend player if someone is looking to get a game together.
