If youre talking about the excavator and the arkham knight, You're not supposed to fight it but rather lead it down the 3 paths that have bombs rigged to blow up on the excavator at the end of it and you have to leave the batmobile when you trigger the cutscene after the final path.




Anyway, I just finished that last riddler race that was completely insane. That last lap was almost impossible....

It went like this for a while.....



Until I finally figured it out......

When I finally beat that lap, it was so satisfying given the frustration I had with it. It was definitely about luck but it was also about momentum and timing your turns and when to use the boost. Like the two gates at the beginning, you just can't barrel through, it's a game of timing.

I've beat all the side missions but riddler and I'm making significant headway on the riddles and trophies. Working on the last island. While there's not as many, the puzzles are much harder to solve and I'm enjoying that.

Can we talk about the Arkham Knight himself yet, or do we need to wait longer for everyone to finish?

Jason Todd was a choice that was not very surprising. When I saw the flashback scenes with Todd and Joker at the studios, and the Knight constantly talking to Batman like he was an old friend or mentor, I was like its obvious who the knight is. Constantly referring to Jason Todd before the reveal was a dead giveaway he was the Knight. Why else would the references and the scenes be made if he wasn't the knight? Jason Todd as the Knight would have more shock value if not a single reference or scene was made about him before the reveal. Thats a mistake on Rocksteady's part in deliberately preparing you for the reveal. It should've been a complete bombshell with a complete unknown character. His story is just a retelling of the red hood. And it's a missed opportunity for a real bombshell.

That's not why I'm pissed at the game. If you were to do the Arkham series properly, I think you need to bring Jason Todd into the mix. But the way Rocksteady handled this with the marketing is complete bullshite. They lied to the true Batman fans and said that the Arkham Knight was a completely original character, even though we all clearly knew it was the Red Hood. But we trusted Rocksteady and took their word for it.

When I first heard him speak in rage in the helicopter, I knew he was Jason Todd, but then backed down not thinking they would lie to us. But once he knew about the armor weaknesses in Batman and abducting Barbara, I wasn't falling for that shite anymore and I knew without any reasonable doubt that Rocksteady was lying to us.

This is the same bullshite that JJ Abrams did with Khan in Star Trek. Just say he's fricking Khan, and 90% of the audience isn't going to know the difference. The true fans clearly knew he was Khan, but JJ simply lied to their faces, and it probably led to a poorer box office receipt. I can see why Nolan kept Talia a secret since she was a true twist villain, but he didn't say much at all about her to the fans and he knew that we would all know. He never insulted the fanbase, but pretty much just told us to shut the frick up to not ruin it for the general audience.

Plus, I can not imagine Red Hood aligning himself with Scarecrow. Next to Joker, Scarecrow is the least likely major villain Red Hood would align himself with, especially when his plan is to wipe out the Eastern seaboard. Red Hood would be better suited with the plan from Arkham City. I can see how he would totally be on board with mass murdering Gotham's scum and then training an army of elite soldiers to take on Batman. Hugo Strange and Ra's al Ghul are logical allies for Red Hood. Scarecrow, not at all.

That damn part with the sideways driving was the first time in a LONG time that I came close to throwing a controller

I think I spent nearly an hour on that last lap alone. Finally I got lucky and beat that lap with I swear .05 of a second left

So is this game worth it? Hows it rank compared to the others? I'm thinking of picking it up tomorrow.
