OoOoOH. A good Superman game would be GOAT but I can never think of a good way to make the gamer feel like Superman but also make it challenging.

no one could make a good batman game before rocksteady got involved...I think they genuinely love the characters and comics (as evidenced by the easter eggs in AA and AC) so I have total faith they can nail it. I'll say one thing for Superman Returns...they fricking nailed the flight simulator and scale. I loved flying into the clouds and looking down on the city.

I'm not kidding you, they've been heavily rumored to be looking towards it. I think they will because they're cleaning up and winning awards. It makes sense. You get an established franchise, but one that has been unused in the video game market...prepare your body. Superman is coming.

Your boy Greg Miller think they will have a small tie in for this game to the next.
a lot of other people too...I don't think he makes an appearance like many have speculated (based on rumors), but I do think you get some easter eggs...or one big one hinting at it...maybe some mentions of things happening in Metropolis, etc. (talia al ghul mentioned their "night in Metropolis" and Hugo Strange mentioned opening an Arkham City in Metropolis)

Superman returns defintely got it right with the flying and the scale almost being on the GTA 5 level and that's one thing that rocksteady needs to take a hard look at.

The rest of the game blew balls though, especially the lame fighting and constant random events.

There was a slip up on imdb a while back that listed Tim daly as the voice of Superman in this game and it was quickly taken down. Tim daly voiced superman in the 90s cartoons.

They also did that with the guy who voiced Jason Todd in "under the red hood"

I think there will be a small bridge to the larger DC universe that WB is going to pay rocksteady a shite load of money to work on while maybe WB Montreal takes over the Arkham franchise

Superman returns was such a cocktease. Every single thing about the game sucked except for the flight simulator. It's probably the only reason it didn't overtake the N64 game for the distinction of worst game ever made

I can get down with the WB universe from rocksteady but WB Montreal will most likely do copy and pastes over and over with a different script each time and I don't see much profit in that for it to be a sustainable business model.

Sometimes I fire up my old ps2 and pop the game in to do some flying. I love the superspeed running then take off.

A Superman game on ps4 needs to make flying fast but slow enough that you can see everything in from front of you and next to you. It was a pain in the arse flying at superspeed between the buildings in returns.

Just as long as Rocksteady uses the New 52 Superman I'm down. The New 52 Superman is just so much more "human" than the previous incarnations of Superman to me. The Super Doom arc

call of duty disagrees with you, as does assassin's creed

I'm not saying it won't eventually stop, but they'll plug out at least a few games before it ends. it's batman, and with rocksteady's engine they can make a few more with relatively little change before people get sick of it.

The story in orgins was fine. arkham is too popular to let it go to waste...at a minimum it will continue, if not; that means rocksteady or wb montreal just takes the same engine and creates a new universe. Maybe more arkham games in batman's earlier years

and this time they'll get arkham knight to copy and past off of, so I'm game

actually, now that I think of it, how freakin' awesome would it be if Rocksteady did a Justice League game, instead of just strictly a Superman game? (since the Super Doom arc was actually a Justice League arc.. omg, I think I just blew my own mind)

frick the uniform New 52 uses. It looks bulky as hell, over done, cape is half assed, neck and hands shouldn't be covered like they are.

I'm digging the Superman and Wonder Woman relationship though. This is a couple that's meant to be. frick this Lois Lane and Steve Trevor bullshite.

Sounds like you got it figured out fox.

Origins is the weaker story compared to city but origins was the better game overall with more combat, a bigger sandbox, a batcave, more inside space and gadgets to use.

eh, I like it , different strokes though, I think they are trying to get a younger generation, and the new look matches it.

everything about the new Superman is just more realistic, I hated the wonder woman thing at first, but now with everything they have done to all of the canon characters at this point, EVERYTHING is incredible... I mean, how much of a mind-frick would it be for non-comic book followers, if all of a sudden you took control of the Justice League member: Lex Luthor halfway through a mission?!?!?!?!

yikes

With the exception of the freeze fight in city, I think they really had better boss fights. However, the characters were chosen for that reason.

I loved fighting deathstroke, bane (2 awesome fights and a 3rd that wasn't so awesome, but challenging enough), shiva was fun too. Oh and killer croc was fun

the scale was bigger, but there was far more detail in city, and the bigger gotham was empty as shite.

I did love the art direction (seriously, I can't say this enough), the voice acting, the boss fights, and it didn't frick up the combat (though they did change the quickfire buttons which was annoying as shite, and the timing was a bit different)

my favorite moments were climbing through the royal hotel for an epic showdown with bane and joker, and the epic nature of going up the bridge, but they never had the same tension as

1. killer croc in asylum
2. the final act of city (starting with joker taking talia)

nor did they have the same quiet creepiness that could be had in the rocksteady games (particularly asylum)

asylum really was the most tense, and city was the best story and most epic batman experience.

The added gadgets were a failure (shock gloves, deathstrokes rope gun thingy) and the rest were knockoffs (the override gun and glue gun were direct rip offs)

I will say this, origins was incredibly underrated. It's flawed to be sure, but it's successes outweigh the failures by a country mile

can you post what you're talking about

I googled 52 superman and it's just superman without the red underwear over his suit

he also doesn't look like an overwhelmingly hulky mass, much more slimmed down, but incredibly buff at the same time.

that was him - this is it

for the cape, that Sent was mentioning, this here is one:

Basically, Sent doesn't like the neck piece that is after the cape, or the points on the hand... I really like it for some reason myself
