AC2 looks much better than the video footage indicates. Same number of polygons, but the texture quality is right up there with the PS4/Xbox 1 port of Black Flag.
I don't think as much attention was put on Brotherhood or Revelations, but I'm not sure either of those games needed that much of a visual boost.
I am surprised at how well 2 has aged. It may be from having not played an AC game in awhile, but I don't miss the revamped parkour or combat as much as I would have expected. There are certain aspects of both that I prefer. The parkour is slower paced and more precise. The combat is still a little janky when fighting some heavily armored enemies but you actually have abilities you don't have in the later games in the series.
Looking forward to at least re-playing II (One of my all time favorite games) and brotherhood. I may skip Revelations this time around. Too many games coming out next week that I want to play.

Same. 2 is tGOAT IMO and I never finished Brotherhood. Got stuck on one of those dumb follow missions and never finished.
Waiting for a good sale.

The running across rooftops stuff used to really piss me off in AC2. It got better in later games. Black Flag is still the GOAT AC though.

The hilarious thing about the follow missions in the early games is that the NPCs never turn around to look for you. You can literally just walk behind them the entire mission.

Just picked it up about 2 weeks ago. AC2 was awesome, I 100% the achievements on it. I have about 4 achievements left to get in brotherhood. Brotherhood is great for the first 90% of the game the the story just starts jumping around during and makes no sense

Revelations had the better story, but it's a straight copy/paste from Brotherhood. It's really the only AC game that I thought felt too similar to the last one.
