Anyone still playing Dayz?

Thinking about jumping back in, haven't played in forever. I don't even know if my computer will still run the game.

Dayz standalone is awful in my opinion.

The mod is infinitely better than stand alone. Stand alone was a failure. NO one plays stand alone

Which mod are y'all talking about? Arma 2 mod or Arma 3 mod? I have been hearing about the Breaking Ponit mod on Arma 3. ANyone given it a shot?

umm I play the arma 2 overpoch mod, but the arma 3 exile mod is very good as well. all 100x better than stand alone

Does exile have that survivor feel that vanilla had? All the mods seem to lack that these days.

Just wanted to give a little update. I played the other night and the game has definitely gotten a bit better. It runs a whole hell of a lot better than it did before. It seems they have added a good bit more content including more vehicles. I knocked a dude out with a bat and was able to gear up pretty well before heading to the NWAF. I have since loaded up on gear with a AKM and MP5. Camped the airfield for a bit but didn't see anyone. Hopefully get some playing time in this weekend.

Just when i thought DayZ had turned a corner...as i stated before i thought the game had gotten better. It seemed to be running a bit smoother and not having the random lag spikes that were a big problem when i played at first. Well not so fast, every big town you go into the game just hits a wall. You can still jump off buildings and tap vault on the way down and walk away with no scratches. After i fully geared up with an AKM, i was stalking a crew of guys when i climbed a ladder and all of the sudden my rifle spazzed out and in the run i lost the gun in all. I have had multiple problems with looting items. And last but not least the good ole legs breaking while running around rock structures.
I think i am done with the game, i figured after letting it sit for nearly a year would be long enough for some big improvements....i was wrong.

Yeah, DayZ Standalone is a massive pile of shite I quit playing it about a year ago and tried to play it a few times over the last month and while it is a bit better optimized now, it still sucks and suffers from the same issues.
I just play H1Z1 from time to time when I feel like playing that style of game.

I've actually been playing quite a bit of H1Z1 lately, but just Battle Royale mode. frick the survival mode lol. Browsing the H1Z1 subreddit makes it seem like the focus is damn near all on BRs and those who want survival are just screwed. BRs is really fun to play, but can be annoying when you are solo queuing and run into a bunch of teamers.

There's a laundry list of things. People hacking like crazy, the real lack of zombies, virtually no content updates to the game since there is no money to be made in survival mode. You can build a place and put a code in it to store all of your findings, but it can easily be glitched into and all of your things stolen.

You play on the CCG servers by any chance? Tell me wha the exile mod is about?
