Anyone else have Star Wars: KOTOR 2 on steam? Crash issue question.

Everytime I try to equip the torch from the dead guy my game crashes.
I can even equip it to my second selection and when I hit switch weapons the game crashes.
I downloaded the big fix mod and it's still happening.
Any one else have this issue or know how to solve it?
I tried googleing and can't find an answer.

I tried playing it but it kept crashing on me. I could never find a fix for it.

If he is getting the torch then really early. I did see that they just patched the game so that could be a new bug. I would check the steam forums.

It used to crash on me alot before I had it on steam.
I recently played through the entire game and did not have any issues. My rec would be to install and re-install or play the game on lower settings upon startup.

Back in the day, on XP and shite, once I learned one or two work arounds I seldom had crashes. But now it's terribad. So incompatible.

KOTOR actually works better for me in Windows 10 than in Windows 8. That is KOTOR not KOTOR 2. I can actually watch the FMV cutscenes now without the game crashing.
I just can't get into KOTOR 2 the way I can KOTOR. I always tap out at Onderon.
