Haven't seen much on the game this year. EA's been relatively quiet in comparison to past years...

What features are y'all most looking forward to?
Any players that you feel need a significant upgrade?

I will start a petition if Fabian Johnson isn't at least a 79 overall come September.

Seen a lot of hate for FIFA 16, this year more than ever seems to be a roster update + women's teams.

This will be the most under used feature ever for a video game.

I'm excited for the game just like I am every year, but I hope they add a few more things to the be a pro mode. The "live the life" feature in NHL was awesome, If they could do something like that with interviews and what not it would be amazing, or maybe even something like NBA 2K's be a pro. However, I won't get my hopes up. EA doesn't really seem to ever add anything game changing......

Another thing I'd like to see is youth teams in the manger mode. What's the point of having your youth players never do anything? You should be able to choose who plays and what not and even assign players who are coming off of an injury to play in those games.

This might be the first year I go back to PES. I think with a year under their next-gen belt that 16 will be better and really start challenging FIFA

Are they allowed to use their names and information though? I know they have a 16 year old in '15, but he's a professional. Are the youth players considered 'professionals?'

Review wise PES 2015 was the better game last year, higher critic scores and user scores.

IGN gave PES 15 a 90 and FIFA 15 an 83 and declared PES the superior soccer game. PES 2015 was also IGN's Sports Game of the Year. FWIW.

PES acquired a few new leagues this year too, but I don't think they've revealed them yet, in addition to extending their UEFA license. If you look across the internet, you'll see the consensus is PES 16 > FIFA 16 this year. Again, FWIW.

At this point, I trust Konami way more than EA Sports.

I'm pretty excited about this, but I feel like a majority of the teams won't be competitive with the likes of US, Germany, Japan, France, etc... and thus useless.

I've been playing FIFA on next-gen since '07, and I don't think that's going to change this year, but I hate how EA seems to always change things that shouldn't be.

Like when they added the whole "online seasons." What was wrong with the original online system? I liked how I was able to search for a player, match up with him/her, see what team and kit they were using before launching the match, etc... I can't even play with a 5 star team anymore because all you match up against is Real.

Ronaldo is OP, btw.

Heard anything about online? I heard some scuttlebutt that they might add 3v3 and 4v4 online multiplayer. You know, where all players don't have to be on the same console.

I wasn't technically talking about real youth players, but yes they should be included. I think you should be able to use the "scouted" youth players, that aren't real, and put them into youth teams. They could just generate some other fake players to fill up the youth team slots in the meantime until you scouted.

I don't know what that means, but yeah, just the better game again like it used to be, simple as that.

Wouldn't that put fans of the NBA 2K series in the hipster category then?

No because 2K crushes Live in sales.

Because Live didn't exist for like 4 years.

To be fair that's because 2K buried them, it's just Live is too much of a dumb zombie to realize it is outgunned.

I meant more in the fact that FIFA and Live were the standalones for awhile until competition arrived. 2K is in the same boat as PES, just a better seller than PES

I've never purchased PES, but I did download a PES 13 demo on Xbox 360 and absolutely hated it.

The controls are super funky to me, but I've always heard that scoring a goal on PES is way more rewarding than scoring one on FIFA. I've just always loved the manager mode on FIFA and I'm used to it.

That's not true, when they quit making Live it was still right there with 2K in sales. NBA Live 09 sold 1.66m in NA, and NBA 2K9 sold 1.90m.

2K just capitalized on the EA delay/issues and stepped up and made a superior product and grasped the opportunity in front of them.

NBA 2K10 went from 1.90m to 2.5m and then the first year without Live, NBA 2K11 went from that 2.5m to 4.55. Almost doubled without Live versus a 0.6m difference before between the two.
