5 Incredible Real Video Games (You'll Never Get to Play)

LINK

Really good article from Cracked detailing some great games that have been canceled.

Star Wars 1313.

I thought they were just reevaluating it. It was the most promising SW game I've seen in awhile.

I'm more disappointed by Battlefront 3's cancellation. They were so close to finishing that game.

It's not the same. Also, I have no idea.

I feel like Prey 2 needs to be on this list. I don't know if it will ever see the light of day now but I've been looking forward to it since they revealed the (cinematic) trailer a couple of years ago.

I'm still hopeful The Last Guardian will be released. Maybe Sony will try to position it as their must-have title, their Zelda, if you will.

This has been confirmed:

And while it might not be the same, if anyone can pull a game off of that style, it's Dice.

I never played Ico but everything I've ever heard is that it's supposed to be great. Shadow of the Colossus is the most visually stunning hardest to beat (next to Contra) game of all time. It and Heavy Rain are the two most beautiful games of all time and one of them was released in 2005. I couldn't imagine how it would look with modern graphics in 1080p. The whole game was boss fights. Just incredible.

I love it but I think Ico is one of those games that most people who play it today for the first time might think, "What's the big deal?"

It's essentially a 3rd person puzzle/platformer with a beautiful art style, music, and story which is mostly told through subtext.

If I had to compare it to one thing, I'd say it's similar to one of the 3d Prince of Persia games, but with more simplified combat and puzzles.

Shadow of the Colossus shares the same art style, also has beautiful music, and a really interesting story. It's more centered around finding and fighting giant, well...colossi in a big, mostly desolate, open world.

Ico is a good game and Shadow is GREAT but I think what I like most about them both are their atmosphere and mood.

ETA: You probably have it on your wishlist, but you should pick this up: LINK

I feel like every time I post a link to a game, you tell me it's in your Amazon wish list.
