Waited for the Ti to upgrade my 980 and it looks like we are about to get them on the 28th.

Don't know but I assume too high. I'm sure it will run higher than the 1080, not just replace the 1080.

I'm going to guess $799; not sure if they're still doing the Founders Edition gimmick or not.

I remember getting an email a couple of months ago from nvidia mentioning some kind of trade in offer since I own a 980Ti, depending on how much they could end up being, I may look into it!

$699 for the Ti.

Dropping price of older 1080 to $499. Although I see some sites quoting higher. I think they have upgraded the 1080 with some tweaks and I think the untweaked 1080 is $499.

On sale in a week. I'll wait until the price is actually $699 before buying one.

Reviews are coming in. Solid game play at 4k.

I wonder if the $700 price points to AMD's next gen being better than Nvidia.

Doesn't make much sense that they are selling a card for $500 less than the near duplicate Titan X.

They must be preempting something that worries them coming from AMD.

And/Or it is the usual cycle of it costing less and less to make more graphics power.

The card is almost the same as the $1,200 Titan X using the same chips. The process didn't suddenly become cheap.

I'm going with they are worried about AMD for the first time in a while and the price on this card proves some fear helps out the consumer. I hope AMD releases an exceptional card.

I also had my XPs 5months ago. So didn't mind paying 2400.

It's also that they barely cut the die. Really on the memory bus and DP.

Guess we will see when vega comes out. Pretty much every site on the web was shocked by the $700 price. Nvidia hasn't played nice with prices lately so I'm sticking with AMD is actually going to finally drop a nice card on the market.
