OT thread about Opelousas got me thinking when a few people were posting about they didnt believe Billys boudin was the best! (Prolly the same trolls that say they dont like Johnnys Pizza)

I don't really care for boudin. I'd rather sausage any day.
Don't think I've ever eaten most of the sausage listed. I like McCains and Savoie's.

My favorite boudin is Don's in Carencro. I like Billy's alot, but I guess because I was raised on Don's, I prefer it.
If we're talking in BR, the options are way more limited, so I'd have to say Ronnie's off of Florida.

I've gotten to where I love smoked boudin. Who has this and does it well?

Just had Billy's smoked boudin tonight and it is fantastic. Might prefer over the regular. The smoke flavor conpliments their seasoning really well.
Bergeron's in Port Allen has a good smoked boudin.
