I've yet to find anything better than Cliff B's one-star review of Pelican House.

A sign prompted us to seat ourselves so we did. We apparently chose our table poorly because two speakers almost directly above us blasted out music at an incredible volume. I'm not a fuddy duddy, but c'mon! I wanted to be able to talk to my lunch companion. We asked them to turn it down and they did, but it was still too loud. After the volume had been lowered a sound meter app (calibrated for my phone) registered an average of 77dB, peaking at 83dB. This more than outpaces a normal 3-foot conversation sound level (60-65dB). On the plus side, the music selection was good, a mix of album versions of popular and less popular 80s hits.

Finally, both of the bathrooms are minimally accessible. They each have the larger accessible stalls, but I have never before seen a soap dispenser at eye level (approx 5'9"). This was the only soap dispenser and it was mounted above the vanity, making it inaccessible to anyone shorter than about 5 feet tall. While this isn't an issue for kids (remember, it's 21 and up), it is a problem for adults who cannot reach up that high and over 2 feet. The only method of hand drying, Dyson Airblades, are both mounted with the tops (where you put your hands) approximately 4 feet off the ground. This would be an impediment to someone with achondroplasia, for example.

It must be nice to trash people anonymously. I hope it makes you feel better about yourselves.

Bobby, sweet first post. I really enjoy your reviews and appreciate the service you provide. I'm really looking forward to your review of the Wendy's on Stumpf and the WB Expressway. Oh, you're awesome on Eastbound and Down too, I can't imagine how much research you had to do to nail that part. Were you honing your skills by writing Yelp Reviews?

i like it when these people review things like "the Huey P Long Bridge" or Walmart

Wow! I thought that was Photoshopped! He really wrote that.
Great thing this site isn't on Yelp or we would be quaking in fear

How is his prose though

I am amazed that Yelp is still around and people are still supplying content for them for free. Back in the MVB days (2010), early on we had a table of about 4 or 5 folks who came in, and promptly told a waitress, "Please let the manager know, there are 3 Yelpers at this table."

And Lord knows those poor bastards have enough problems without having to worry about wet hands.

Hi Bobby. How did that young waitresses at Shaya respond to your thoughts of her appearance and hygiene? With your very sudden negative opinion towards anonymity, I'm sure you wasted no time in contacting all the people and places you trashed to let them know first hand how you feel about them, right? fricking hypocrit.
Do you feel better about yourself after submitting one of those self-important ramblings on yelp? Trashing you for them doesn't make me feel better about myself, but seeing you butthurt enough to create an account and post about it is pretty fricking satisfying.
I'll be looking forward to your next review.
