Would a korean bbq restaurant in BR be a good idea?

Not sure if many in here have been to one. But you get a plate of meat of your choice, marinated or not. You grill them in a built in grill at your table. And you get 15 items on the sides.

The bad part is that your clothes smell like a meat kebab once you get home.

Definitely.

Especially if it was close to LSU's campus or the perkins overpass.. I've always wanted a nice korean place in this city.

Sounds good to me. But Jbeam is correct, it would more likely appeal to the 25-45 year old crowd.

You should do it with Marucci bats.

Gold mine.

Yes. Locate it next to Marucci bat Co. and use their scraps as firewood.

I have been to one where you can do that and they had the Mongolian style where you build your dish and they cook it if didn't want to at the table.

Love the concept either way.

They have about 534 of them out here in Gwinnett County (suburban Atlanta) ... a lot of them are open past midnight, and some advertise that they're open 24 hours ... they seem to be popular.

To answer the question ... yes, I think one would be great in Baton Rouge, and would be popular with the younger student crowd.

Be awesome for BR to have real authentic Korean BBQ restaurant......I have become a huge fan of their gochujang korean hot sauce.....In fact I am making some homemade right now......takes a few months though.

Why just BBQ? Korean in general would be great. I need to make it over to Korea House soon

Korean/korean bbq. Like the previous poster said, 24 hr is a great idea with students eating late, getting out of clubs. Just another alternative to Louie, IHOP.

Are Little Korea and Korea House the closest Korean restaurants to BR?

Perhaps Friday and Saturday. Doubtful for the rest of the week.
