To be fair, Parish probably has one of the worst taprooms in the state. I've not been to Gnarly Barley or Tin Roof, but the only one that I can say is worse as a result of experience is Urban South, if that even counts.
And quite frankly, I doubt Andrew even gives a shite. Those frickers don't even have a website. The "online store" looks like a fricking geocities page from 1996
And yet the beer is great

Bad location and parking sucked. Also couldn't get people from the City to go out there and I guess didn't draw well with the suburban folks. I went once, but why go there when I could go to Bulldog or Avenue and get much of the same beer and better food. I do hope the WHD location stays around although I don't frequent that one either.

More of a corporate issue
I can tell you that recently the owners were arguing about who owned how much, as in percentage, of WOB. Accounts were even frozen for a short time.

Same thing happened to the one in Austin. It was open for maybe a year before it shut down. The prices were too high to compete with all of the other bars and breweries around here.

I liked having the competition in the area to try and get Lagers to step up their game.
I like lagers a lot.
My brother took me there when I was 16 and got me drinks. He is only 2 years older than me.

What are some examples of high prices? I'm not calling out, I've never been so I have no idea the prices. I used to think Cooter Browns was expensive when their local beers like Hopitoulas were $1-2 more than Avenue and Bulldog.

I thought Parish recently updated their website (save that hilarious store page).

I only went once. Food was average from what I recall. I like Lager's a lot and think they have a really good menu for being a bar. Metairie is rejecting the chains right now. Twin Peak's, Pei Wei, WOB and Coyote Blues have all closed within a few blocks of each other.
I think it was hard for WOB to complete against Lager's, Cajun Cannon and Hooters for sure. Hooters is always packed. Cajun Cannon has shockingly great service and is always packed as well. WOB had a very corporate feel vs. Lager's.

Wob is a terrible plain Jane lay out. Hard to see the taps. Sterile feeling place. Not welcoming or comfortable. Saucer is 100 times better. Guru with far less taps is way better.

And that Double Burner burger cooked medium, too.
