I have a traeger and I believe my max temp is 450.

The searer on my grill gets up to 900. I use my gas grill for steaks.

I can get my Rec Tec up to about 550. It cooks a steak perfectly for me. It will not char the outside, but it works for me.

I just dump all those pellets into my egg and get it up to about 1250.

They are all a bit different, some allow direct flame cooking
