Mediocre wine perfectly paired with mediocre food. What's not to like?

Can you expand on this?

I've been tempted to pick up a bottle of their Cabernet, but this has me second guessing.

Contender, the Frank Family wines are really good. We discovered them off the beaten path on a trip to Napa a few years back and have been fans ever since. They consistently score well. The cab is rich and smooth, not heavily oaked. I'm not sure where Tom is coming from... If he's joking or if he's ever even tried the wine.

To be fair I've only had the Pinot Noir. It was unremarkable.

Way to naive Gbabe Don't you realize that most of the haters are competitive employees from other restaurants. Tom probably works at Ruth Chris. I hear they are obsessed with this site.

Just a little FYI. Ruth's has been showcasing Frank Family wines for 3 years now. Fleming's is just playing catch up.

Geauxt, I've told you not to spread our secrets to these FDB hooligans. I'm gonna end up on the help board asking to have my account deleted...

Or maybe Flemings is just not very good.

Just curious Tom- What do you have against Fleming's? I know it's a chain, but they serve prime steaks with great sides and have a kick-arse selection of good wines by the glass. The chef at the BR location has the freedom to showcase his personal recipes at many of their wine events. For the most part, the staff is well trained and well informed. We've always been received exceptional service.

Im not Tom, but will admit that I had a differing opinion on Flemings the 1st couple years it was open. Earlier in their lifespan here, I had a bad experience one night......and terrible service on another occassion. But now, it is my preferred steakhouse in BR. Our family used to frequent Ruths, and still do on occassion.....but for dinner for my wife and I? Flemings.

The last dozen or so times, the food has been superb and service excellent. My comments on service should be noted that we request the same waiter on each trip....and he is always spot-on.

I still love the steaks at other establishments in BR - but find the overall experience (Ambiance, Environment, Wine Selection, Service, Steak Quality) at Flemings preferred to Ruths. (Sullivans need not be in this discussion for many reasons)

I've had almost the opposite experience. Steaks have been overcooked, wait staff is not very attentive and the sides are very average. Their wine selection is not terrible, but that doesn't make up for the rest.
