Why pizza?

Some people swear by Pizza Man but I don't get it. There aren't many options - Isabella's, Italian Pie, Mellow Mushroom, Johnny's (all meh). I hear Mama D's in Abita is good but I've never been. Also heard the same about Ian Somerhalder's family restaurant in Mandeville, but haven't been there either.

Better ideas are Columbia Street Tap Room, Lola, Chimes, etc.

I think it's a nostalgia thing for people. RIP BJ's at Claiborne Hill.

I like Pizza Man the best. I can't stand a thick or doughy crust and they use nicer imported toppings. The place itself is skeevey. As a point of reference my favorite Nola pizza places are Domenica, Ancora and Pizza Delicious.

I agree with the other poster about opening your horizons and second Lola's. Very good soup, sandwiches and salad.

Mellow Mushroom and Johnnies are terrible. Mama D's and Cocisino's are serviceable but the crust is too thick and sauce is too tomato paste tasting.

Opinions are like a-holes though.

They just asked for something easy. Just a few people in this division of the office. Everyone eats at different times usually. I'm not locked on pizza, just what I thought of.

Isabella's is a good option for an office pizza party.
