I lined up early in this past weekend for a bottle of the Parker's heritage 11th edition. Chose that over OF birthday bourbon because I thought there might be enough for the second go around. There wasn't so I had to settle for the Blanton's on the second pass. They had a few bottles of the Weller 107 but those went to the later arrivals who missing the Parker's heritage and OF.

Saw the Birthday bourbon today in a store for $199. The store 2 miles down the road sold theirs for $90.

I went to the LB in beaumont and got out there by 615. I was 27th in line. No telling when they ran out of PH or OFBB, but a guy who was 80th got weller 107. A friend of mine who went to hamburg got there before 6 and was 45th in line and got PH. A lot of people in front of me went for OFBB over PH I think because its a little more recognizable, may have a little more resale value (80 resells for 220-250 vs 150 resells for 350-375), and they were turned off by PH pricetag.

Glad it's not hardly that bad around me. Walked in at lunch and bought these.

Weller has gotten a big rep in KY for the rumor that it's a similar mashbill to pappy. As you know it's also a great value. Nearly all of the BT stuff is hard to find, even plain Jane BT. Buying it when I travel out of state is far easier than finding it here.

I am liking TX Whiskey out of Ft Worth.
They are gaining in popularity..last time, the store had a limit of one per person.
I am mostly a Rum drinker, but this tasted pretty good to me.

Just find it retail at a store. I got lucky and found weller 12 in Texas this weekend. Didn't think to ask about the others.

Dude find it for retail. I bought a bottle last year for $40 on the northshore. If that is the going rate I may just sell that bottle for some quick cash.

I am on the hunt for ETL and striking out repeatedly. In the process, have found some bottles of welled 12 though.
