With the recent article in Gambit about the "strip" that is Williams Blvd, I'm interested in giving some of them a try. I haven't been to any, so looking for opinions from people who are familiar with the restaurants featured in the article (or ones that were not).
For reference, here is the full article.
Here are the ones they hit on:
ASIAN
Asian Gourmet Market
Imperial Garden
Little Chinatown
BRAZILIAN
Brazilian Market and Cafe
Chura's Brazilian Grill
CENTRAL/SOUTH AMERICAN, CUBAN
Cuban Restaurant
Pollos a la Brasa Fiesta
Pupuseria Lila's
MEXICAN
Chilangos Seafood
Taqueria mi Rancho
MIDDLE EASTERN
Fatima Cafe

add 'Shish Ka Bob' house to the Middle Eastern, they are by Kased brothers and have great lamb and goat dishes.
I haven't tried Imperial yet, but love Little Chinatown.
Not a huge fan of Churra's and have yet to try the other Brazillian place. Fatima is good.
I like Cuban restaurant and the $37 two person sampler is a great dinner.

Asian Gourmet is a grocery store; aside from a few baked goods/sweets, it doesn't sell ready to eat food.
Chilagos seafood is tasty, and I like the weekend tamales and Cuban sandwiches at Notmas on Georgia (I block off Williams). Little Chinatown has interesting stuff in the whiteboard menu and roasted pigs on the weekend sold by the lb.
