So a neighbor gave me some home grown green onions, and I swear the aroma and flavor is unreal.

Are Southside Produce's veggies any fresher than say Winn Dixies or Mathernes ?

Do they all come from Cali anyway ?

Homegrown asparagus is a religious experience.

They're massively cheaper than any grocery store at Southside.

For the freshest around here, go to the Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings.

Mexico has the best veggies I've had in my life.

Otherwise try a local farmer's market.

I thought it was the produce stand until I went to whole foods. The onions smell up room. The apples are unmatched. The romaine stays crisp for a week easily.

I thought I saw the signs out and their Facebook page seems to have them open the last 2 weeks. They're usually only there in the morning though.

I agree.
I also got some organic young tender mustard greens this Winter which nearly caused me to give up all other foods. I don't know that organic had anything to do it. They were so fresh and bright green and crisp and picked the morning I bought them.

I think fresh picked corn is pretty religious, as well.

Fresh Sweet Corn is a religion for some people around here.

It really is unbelievably good though.

Easy to do. When you buy green onions fromnthe store and they still have the root part attached plant that in some potting soil. Whenever you need some green onions cut them about 2" from the dirt and they will.continue to grow.

Yep. The one set we planted forever ago are still alive. Little shits won't die!
