Cristiano Ristorante
1921 Seafood (oysters are excellent there right now, boiled seafood is the best in the city)
West Main Pizza (great - but expensive - pizza)
Griffin's Po-boys
Ichiban (for sushi)
Cafe Milano (if you want upscale and Cristiano's is booked)
Song Phi Nong (for Thai food)

I second these and I'll add

White bowl (Vietnamese)
Sarah's (Mediterranean)
Big Mike's BBQ (best around)

Yeah, pretty sure a large is $39.00 on the menu. No idea why they are so expensive, but prices don't seem to affect business - it's always busy when we go.

Yea they are proud of their pizzas.
If that's what you are craving check out Peppers for way cheaper.

I eat lunch at Griffin's every time I'm in Houma and haven't been disappointed yet. Ate dinner at Spahr's last week and holy shite it was awful!

Meh. Everyone has different tastes. Personally I like thin, crisp cust with a lot of toppings and light sauce - West Main has that on lock.

What side of town will you be working on?

If you on the eastside (Grand Caillou Road). There's Nancy's, TARC (lunch only) Mr. Po-Boy, Nifty Fifties Cafe has a decent lunch special normally, Pizza Express has a solid buffet lunch for $9 comes with spaghetti, pizza, nice salad bar and a drink. Siam House for Tai. If you towards the Grand Caillou end of Grand Caillou Road and have a nice long lunch hour Schmoopys is solid, its about 12-15 minutes from Woodlawn Ranch Road.

For Dinner I'd go to Big Mikes and Cristianos. 2 best places in Houma in my opinion.
