Stein's makes my favorite deli style sandwich in the city. Love the Kelly.

Stein's for NY style deli sandwiches.
Not sure I'd call them Deli but:
Cochon Butcher is the best in the city.
The Turkey and the Wolf is a new place that is supposed to be good.

Butcher, Steins, Part and Parcel and Turkey and the Wolf (both very new), and Milkbar are my favorite spots for non poboy sandwiches in the city.

Some good spots listed. Il Posto is another really good spot.

While not strictly deli sandwiches, both Tartine on Perrier St and Gracious Bakery on Jeff Davis offer solid sandwich options. I'm partial to the tuna nicoise at Tartine and the ham/cheddar-pecan spread/sliced apple sandwich at Gracious.

Yes it is, even in its salad form.
And I thought I told you to keep your gob shut about Il Posto.

That's going to need to happen soon. I'll probably check out Turkey and the Wolf this week since I drive by it fairly regularly.

The French Cold Cuts Banh Mi at Dong Phuong is pretty damn spectacular, once you pull the giant cucumber off. Get 2.

Martins needs to be mentioned.
Part and Parcels was very good on first visit.
Glassman, I think only uptowners are allowed into il posto. We only get in based on the Uptown/OM outreach program...lol
We are there about once a week.
