Crawfish boil jerky from The Jerky Outlet in Denham. It's jerky made with crawfish boil and sprinkled with a healthy dose of slap ya mama.

I like Pappy Kershinstine's for mass produced jerky. There is a grocery store in St. Martinville called Cade's that has real good jerky too.

Most "natural" stores like Whole Foods, for sure.

I made about 30 lbs of deer jerky the other night. I keep it moist. My teeth can't take that hard jerky anymore.

Academy carries the Krave jerky at the registers. The chile-lime is pretty good too.

Jacobs in Laplace had some of the best jerky I've ever had. It's been years since I had any though. Jerry lees is good too, it's tender and has a strong smoked flavor.

On a side note....how does one make tender beef jerky?
