Ate it several times while working in East Texas. Im a big fan. Happy its comin to BR. Havent tried entrees other than the Wood Fired Chicken, but the chicken is good and sides are solid.

They just opened one here in Birmingham. Rotisserie chicken is really good. Most of the sides I've tried have been good, and it is pretty reasonably priced. Also, the damn chocolate chip cookie is great (ask to get it warm with ice cream).

Advocate reported today that it is now open.

Menu looks pretty awesome and prices are legit. Glad to see a good, non-fried food offering in BR!

i dont understand how people wont be turned away from any of those places when they are all open at peak times

Tried it today. Chicken was very good. Didn't blow me away but I enjoyed it. The rolls were pretty average. Didn't care for the green beans, but the fried okra and corn fritters were solid.

Good atmosphere, pleasant surroundings.

It's not my favorite place in town but I'll be back.

My coworkers went and said it was bland and the sides were shitty

Maybe opening week problems?

We went last night. Chicken was delicious. Sides were pretty average.

I could see us buying a whole chicken from there and bringing it home & making our own sides.

It blows grocery store rotisserie chicken away and only a dollar or two more expensive. Worth it, IMO.

I thought the chicken was great. It wasn't salty like most grocery store chickens. Slightly smokey and a crispy skin. Very cravable and both of my boys plowed through it.

I had the Spanish Rice which I thought was very good. The cowboy veggies which were squash and zucchini sautéed until cooked but still firm with peppers and onions. The pinto beans which were on point with a slight bit of heat (3&1 year old complained but they aren't hot) and a nice cilantro flavor. It's not earth shattering type of food but a very solid execution across the board. It's going in the family rotation

I can't understand why anyone would go to Cowboy Chicken twice. Their rotisserie chicken at best, is only slightly better than what you can purchase at any grocery store, and the sides are terrible. I have zero desire to ever go back.
