I went to Delmonico for my 30th birthday a few years ago and had a tasting menu with wine pairings, before tip it was $370. Now this was a special occasion and since I haven't even been close to this. It was a serious experience though

Delmonico. The two of us spent around $400. I didn't have to pay thank God.

This is the top end for what I'm willing to spend for my wife and I to eat out. Anything above that and I just start feeling guilty about spending that kind of money on one meal.

Most of the high end places in Vegas are in the $300-$500 range with wine, tip, etc. Mark's in Houston was about the same.

Was your expensive dinner worth it? For this meal highlights were 05 Robert Foley Hourglass cab $250 on list, 05 Shafer Red Shoulder Ranch chard $130 on list, some crazy Tokai for dessert. Entrees were giant prime dry aged strip and giant prime dry aged cowboy ribeye. They were very generous with the pourings.

For just 2, $150. But I have spent more when we split a check evenly with a group. I don't usually order bottles of wine when eating out because of the ridiculous markup.

Yes. We sat there for 2.5 hours drinking and eating. I had the dry aged prime NY strip. Can't remember the wine. Also remember getting one of the desserts made table side.

120$ at Ditka's restaurant on St Charles. I may as well have set 120$ on fire.

Last night at Ad Hoc, 176, though we are going to Cyrus in a few weels that'll be more than 100 per person easy.

ETA: Most i spent on myself? Over 200 at the Martini House, now closed.

probably $200 at August. Worth every penny. Can't do that amount very often but for a special occasion, and at the right restaurant, it can be well worth it.

Can't remember off the top, but it was absurd. I've done the $300 thing a few times in recent memory at NYC's Per Se and Daniel.
I know I busted over $500 for a dinner at Le Cirque and that of course is the one that stands out. In no way am I justifying it. That's ridiculous.

$125 with tip. Local steak house here in Huntsville. I'm not big on high end restaurants but I was throwing all the cards I had trying to get this OT 9 into bed with me.
