We have had quite a few and enjoyed most of them. I like Full Moon, also Jim and Nicks There are a few more that others will share too.

There is a dreamland there, but I don't care for their style - too dry and tough

Golden Rule is ok too

I live here and after growing up in Memphis, I just can't make the adjustment. It's like asking a transplanted Coonass about the best red beans & rice in Bham. So, basically, I have to say it is in my back yard.

By far. The others (JimNicks, FullMoon, etc) are more chain types. Not ad in their own respect but I prefers saws

It's really not even close.

Saws is hands down the best BBQ in the state, and I'd put them up against anybody.

Full Moon, but i have only been to a few BBQ places there. J'nN is barely ok, the last time I got a pulled pork it was so full of fat and gristle I sent it back, the replacment was OK.

I had brisket from them once that was about 80% fat. Their chicken and pork is pretty good. But their mac and cheese is the best in town. By a lot.

Haven't been to Saws (I'm only here 1.5 years.) but people whose opinion I trust say it's best. Dreamlands (Southside) is okay.

Speaking of brisket, the brisket quesadillas at Superior Grill on 280 is pretty damn tasty.
