They opened this week but have no signage anywhere other than a big "now open" sign. I've seen a car parked out front that looks like it's advertising some kind of taqueria. Anyone know the details?

Menu sounds good

That area has been a trouble spot though, I wonder if a taqueria type place can draw in the college crowd.

It has been a weird spot but Roly Poly seems to do well next door. Also pluckers about 200 feet away.

So there are customers to be had.

I hope it does well. My kind of food

Didn't know Willy's closed. Not great chicken. But not awful either.

You are confusing Willy's and Leroy's.

Willy's was the chicken and waffle place that tried to ripoff what Cane's was doing. It's on the north side of Campus.

Thats awesome!

If this is the same food truck that was on Nicholson in front of the barber shop on Violet, they had some bomb Salvadorian food, and the lady was always really really nice.

Good for them if they finally got a solid spot, hope it does well.

Its the same people, although they are shutting that truck down. They still have a truck over on Gardere though.

Did Leroy's kick the bucket too or are they still open?

Leroy's is dead as well. I believe it's a Marty J's now, but I don't live in BR anymore so I don't know for sure.

I guess I'll try Marty J's since it gets a bit of love here. That location is just off my radar- as that Willy's is as well.

Anyone know if this place will take cards? Thinking about picking up lunch.

The one in Stabiler's old place on Perkins is convenient. Shrimp poyboy was pretty good. Oyster was meh, they were a little overcooked for my liking.

They must have changed menus with the move because the one on Nicholson doesn't serve oyster, which is my go-to when it comes to poboys.

It isn't on the online menu either. Might have not even been on the chalkboard. But I ordered it and got it.
