very popular restaurant in Nola is called Tableau

Went there for my mom's Bday.

The waiter argued with us about the drink menu, brought us the wrong appetizer, they served me the absolute worst meal I have ever eaten. A hunk of fat and gristle they called a steak though I suspect it was a carriage horse they found dead outside.

After the meal, they invited a group of what I assume are Street musicians to sing happy Bday to my mom. They sang for 20 minutes then refused to leave till we tipped them and kept trying to get us to buy their Cd.

I haven't been back. And I actively persuade others to go elsewhere when I hear the name mentioned.

Don't know how the name August was chosen.

Original owner/partner of August was a guy named, August. That's where the name came from

Darla!

I like Darla's Delectable Delights otherwise know as "Triple D".

Thanks, BO. I now recall that about the name of August. Apparently, the info was stored in my brain so deeply, it wasn't coming to the surface without assistance.

No apostrophes....please, for the love of g-d, no apostrophes. I like old-fashioned names that use geographic locations (whether town, street, neighborhood, etc), and I like descriptive categories like bistro, brasserie, bakery, trattoria, etc.
