Friend from HS is in town, so I wanted to go somewhere good. Really like their menu, but don't want to order the "kid's meal"

The brisket jumps out at me. Thoughts? Any can't miss items?

Order the upside down plum cake a la mode for dessert if they still have it. It was under their specials when I went.

You can't go wrong with anything on their menu.

Heading there Friday...

Apps: We always get the boudin balls and sometimes their app of the day. The pork belly on the current menu has me interested

Entrees: Brisket, duck, scallops are winners all around...I may mix it up this week and get the ribs (only get three I think) with the watermelon salad

Dessert: KK Bread Pudding is heavy, usually pass on it, occasionally go with the ice cream or the terrine

ETA: Just noticed the Amberjack entree, might be getting that instead

We might have had it when we went (I don't remember), but honestly when I see KK Bread Pudding, all I think about is the fact that WalkOns boasts about serving that dessert.

Boucherie's is (of course) much better than WalkOns, but I'm usually so stuffed after apps/entrees that if I get dessert it needs to be light & not too sweet. The one time we got it we split it amongst four of us.

Because it's the cheapest? It's still no $9.79.
