How many people? Seafood? Beef? Pork? Chicken? Want to cook indoors or out? Does it need to be made ahead so you can watch the game?

I'm cooking a deer shoulder whilst throwing darts at a poster of Joe Walsh, Don Henley and the boys.

I don't care because I won't be there. Cook boudin for the Florida game and invite me.

P.S. Boudin will always be my suggestion.

What is that?

Your first post, and you've baffled me already.

The low is going to be 66 and will be rainy.. I'm taking advantage of the opportunity to do my first chicken and sausage gumbo of the Fall.

I wish I had you to help me make my own roux! Still using the jar.

The jar works, but I think homemade tastes better. You could do it if you tried! Make the oven roux I posted a while back. Nothing to that. Put it in the oven and put the rest of the ingredients together while it browns. I've been doing it for my big rouxs. It's pretty much impossible to ruin on 350 in the oven. Give it a geaux.
