They have to be close I would think. The last article I found from Nola.com was from June, which noted that they have received their federal approval and hoped to be open by early August.

Everything on their instagram account is them just going around and drinking beer at other people's places. I've seen that their bar is built and they're trying to get their brewery set up, but no real concrete info on timing.

He brewed a couple batches last week, so an opening should be very close.

Pretty sure their permits/licenses are all good and they are legal to brew beer.

I guess they still need an occupancy permit?

Nothing but hibiscus saisons.

I know Scott is a big hophead from Sandy Eggo, so I imagine he'll have an IPA or two.

Wood plans to start offering tours on Sundays, once things are up and running.

Tours? From what I've heard it's just one big room.

Meh, just an excuse to go drink some free beer is what I'm hoping for.

I thought I read that they will have "guest" taps as well as their own stuff. I wonder what kind of line up they are thinking of putting together.

Nobody goes on tours of small breweries to see anything. It's all for the "samples". I went on once at a PA brewery where they were doing construction inside (changing out equipment) so they would only let us take the "self guided tour" which consisted of looking thru large windows at the brewery from the tap room. When the group was informed of this, the consensus was basically "So? That's fine." About 90 minutes of "sampling".

Yep, it helps though if there is a person with the brewery around who is interesting to talk too.
The last time I did an Abita tour several years ago, some woman led us around who had the personality of a snail.
Still enjoyed the drinking though.

Oh I know. I was half kidding. How many people are going to be working there? If Scott is doing the tours, who is going to be taking care of the beer sales? His partner?
