I'm having a hard time finding any place in Baton Rouge that will be open at all on Thanksgiving, much less in the evening. Chimes and Londoner are closed. Any watering hole suggestions that wouldn't require a drive to New Orleans?

Trust me, this is a stark difference from what I'm used to in Chicago where Thanksgiving evening is one of the biggest of the year for the taverns. Most people have had enough of the family bs and are ready to drink heavily...and do.

Most of the places that serve food will be closed. Most bars are usually open. If I were in town I'd hit up wither Radio Bar or Mud and Water. I know they'll be open.

The night before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving night are usually the biggest nights of the years for bars in NOLA. Everyone is in town and sick of their families. My favorite night of the year to go out.
