The Cheveron in Bastrop with the skunk haired lady has a great heat lamp game. A duel heat lamp store offering Krispy Krunchy chicken, big fried shrimp, good boudin balls and the whole arsenal of meat pies, crispitos, cheddar peppers etc. It's a well managed heat lamp with good turnover and aged/soggy/hard item removal practices. Runner up is the Taliban gas station in St. Joe.

What's that little community out by the old IP, Colin or Kolin or something like that? They used to have 2 stores that could heat lamp like a mofo..

No doubt. Even better when her daughter is handling the chicken tongs.

This duck season, I've usually gone home through Log Cabin to avoid the gravity pull the Chevron exerts on my vehicle...I've avoided the usual 10 lb weight gain...so far.

On 107? That's Kolin. Those stores are still there. South side one has gone ISIS I think. I stop only when forced. When i go that way, I'm generally heading to a camp on the Red for a gut buster feast, so no lamp food for me then.
