Will be in New Orleans in a few weeks. Is Lucy's still a good spot?

Lucy's is solid for sure.
Howlin wolf and rusty nail.

Rusty Nail was a consensus top 10 bar in a thread from here last week.

Eta: I know you're bringing kids. Lucy's is kid friendly during the day. What atmosphere do you want? Sports, upscale with specialty cocktails?

If you've got kids in tow I'd go to Barcadia.

Rusty Nail is also right there and a damn fine establishment.

Nail. One of my favorites in the area, even with the obvious elephant in the room.

Wear your Bama shirt.

Sounds like Sir Chicken will be making a stop in NOLA before heading down for the Grand Isle International Hookers&Blow Rodeo!

We have a few couples (30's) going in August. Y'all would recommend these spots over places in the FQ? Rusty nail looks really nice, I'm a fan of patios. We're staying on canal but wouldn't mind taking a cab to the warehouse district.

Rusty Nail is better than any bar in the FQ in my opinion. Lucy's is a good spot too.

Sounds good. Just don't feel like fighting the crowds and trash in FQ.

Lucys and rusty it is.. Anything else you'd recommend that is similar to those 2?
