The sam as all of the others, but one, and maybe add some smothered cabbage.

I know a family that puts "top-n-john" on their red beans. It's like a vinegar relish of onions and tomatoes that they put right on top. Definitely adds to the dish, but I have no idea how to make it.

Cornbread is mandatory. Serve them ho's up with a link of sausage, and maybe some good smothered cabbage if you want some veggies/greens that will also go good with rice.

Maybe sweet potato fries or fried corn fritters?

They would offer something a little crispy and sweet, could pair well with some well seasoned red beans.

i usually only do cornbread but this

quote:

pork chops

is a solid idea. because of the ham hocks and sausage i put in the beans, i never really think to serve it with anything other than rice and cornbread.

How would you prepare these to go with red beans? I like the idea, never thought about it.

Never really have a side w/ red beans and rice. Usually I just eat them with cornbread as an entire meal. Then get a hellacious case of the winds. I do like the gabbage or greens idea though on accout of you'll already have the cornbread..
