On a tractor a lot and have to bring my lunches with me. Really getting played out on just plain sandwiches and Vienna sausages.

Give me some good sandwich ideas to spice it up a little

Pita stuffed with roasted, grilled or smoked chicken with whatever you like in sandwiches like tomatoes, avocados, lettuce, hummus....

Chicken salads as an entree or chicken salad sandwiches.
Shrimp salad
Deviled eggs
Ham salad
Cold smoked, baked or poached salmon with some cold sides
Roasted, grilled or steamed various veggies
Fruits
Hoagies with cold meats like ham, salami... and cheeses, add a little vinaigrette to those right before you eat.

The good ol peanut butter sandwich is a fine thing, esp if you use honey roasted peanut butter and a nice strawberry jam. Or almond butter and coconut jam, my favorite combo. Try cream cheese and sliced cucumbers with pepper jelly, or roasted red peppers and sliced mozzarella.

Turkey sandwich on toasted bagel with hummus and avocado lettuce tomato

Very filing. I used to eat them often when I was pregnant and always starving.

Cold fried chicken is awesome, so is pizza.
Leftover supper in a aluminum pie tin covered with foil can ride on top the engine all morning till its nice and warm.
Same with a can of soup, stew, or beans.
A summer sausage with some cheese and crackers.

Make yourself some chicken burritos.

Can of black beans
Can of corn
half an onion diced up
a clove of garlic diced up
a bag of shredded cheese
a pack of taco seasoning.
a pack or two of the precooked grilled chicken strips for fajitas, chopped up

Drain the corn and beans well. Throw everything into a gallon ziploc and mix well and stash in the fridge. When you want a burrito, you just grab the bag from the fridge and roll one up. Wrap it tightly in foil and you can stash it in the engine compartment to warm it up and melt the cheese. You only have to stop to toss it on the engine and to pull it back into the cab with you.

You can switch up your sandwiches more often. Roast beef, ham and cheese, egg salad, tuna/chicken salad... maybe your sides are what needs a pick up. Rather than chips you can do fresh fruit to cool you off, or veggies and hummus.

Veggie sandwich of hummus, olives, cucumbers, cheese. PB and J's are always good... personallly I do sunflower butter and usually a strawberry jam.

A big salad is pretty good too when you've been in the hot sun all day. Whatever lettuce you want.. couple veggies, tomatoes carrots cucumbers peppers, maybe some cheese or meat. Whatever dressing.. shake it up in its bowl.

I'd rather have homemade chocolate chip cookies or a hunk of cake than a Little Debbie. In my early 80s childhood, we ate Nutty Bars by the ton. I tried one a few years ago & boy, was it terrible. I can recall a decent chocolate coating that stuck to the wrapper in warm weather; the modern version was coated in practically inedible brown waxy weirdness.

My mom used to bring us lunch just about every day when we were cutting rice. Burgers from Frosto, Popeyes, sometimes rice and gravy. My dad quit farming though and I haven't spent a whole day on a tractor in about 12 years.

I miss those days

I'm well aware my post doesn't help you at all. I'll downvote myself
