I have all the ingredients to make a nice salad. Smoked salmon, butter lettuce, avocado, red onion, pecans or walnuts, cucumber, tomato.
But it might be ice cream, followed by ice cream for dessert.
But grilled boudin sounds really, really good.

This has got to be the worst food day for me since 1959 when I was eating grasshoppers during survival training in the wilds of Colorado with the Air Force.
First, my orange juice with breakfast tasted funny - hard to say how, I drank it, but not sure what the problem was.
Second, it was the first day of the spring term at UNC-Asheville, College for Seniors and my class was 11:30 to 1:30 - too late to fix lunch at home, so I got a pre-packaged ham and cheese sandwich at the snackbar. Didn't taste too good - I ate half and threw the other half away. Also almost broke a tooth on something hard in my pack of Cheetos.
Finally, went to my daughter's. She had a late business meeting so my SIL opened cans of chick peas, okra and rotel tomatoes and dumped them in a pot and served them over grits.
Managed to salvage the evening by driving over to the New Belgium Brewery liquid center and drinking a couple of pints of their 1554 dark lager on their deck overlooking the French Broad River.
