Junior and I have been fishing and shooting his Red Rider at the FILs. We picked up 20 pounds of crawfish and are about to chow down.

French Bread(Poboy)Muffalettas

I've been craving a muffaletta so today even though I KNEW the "go to" place close to home would be busy with all of the parades and foods pre-ordered I went by and there was no way I was even going in seeing the cars parked in that neighborhood. So I went and dropped off oranges I give to a teenager that loves them and went on to the supermarket. There I decided I still had to get my muffaletta fix. I picked all the fixens except for the bread(the bread can make or break a muffaletta! I decided to use Poboy bread instead.

Here's the 35" loaf of bread sliced and ready for the meats.Oh yeah, my daughter and sone prefer to NOT have olive salad on their muffaletta. Sacrilege!!!!! They will split the shorter section without the olive salad.

Gotta have the good stuff!

Stacked and ready to eat! No, not just yet. I'll let it sit a little while for the olive oil ot get allover the place. Lol.......

This might be enough to feed four of us huh?

Made a chili this morning.
Just lit a fire, neighbors coming over. Will roast hot dogs to go with the chili, have frito scoops and different chips and dips.
Wife will probably want to make some s'mores.
Me, I'm gonna enjoy a few toddies.
By the end of the night we will have solved all the worlds problems.
Enjoy this beautiful evening everyone!
