Happy Mother's Day

Strips seared with a little thyme and butter, salmon done the same way, Brussels sprouts with shallots, double fried fries, fresh ear corn and a Béarnaise .

Fried bream and crappie. Hush puppies, slaw, fries. Lots of beer, maybe some Charter. Is balls still banned?

I'm smoking a rack of baby backs, whole chicken, and few links of sausage and will have cole slaw, baked beans, and macaroni (Junior's request) for sides.

Where are yall getting berries, tomatoes and corn this early?

And why is balls banned?

My daughter made fresh pasta then tossed her pesto with it served with medium rare frenched lamb racks. 2006 David Arthur Cab Franc eating front balcony al fresco. Nice evening on this east side.

We bought a house a few years back that had berries, satsumas, and several other fruit producing trees. Berries are ready every year about this time. We have bagged 5 quart ziplocks, and that is barely scratching the surface.

We have some tomatoes in pots, but get the majority of them from my wife's family.

Cucumbers will be ready shortly.
