East Side King...outside of Liberty Bar, Shangri-la, The Grackle and Hole in the Wall. SO GOOD.

do you ever go see Bob Schneider at Saxon Pub on Mondays

I've been many times, but it just gets SO packed. Great show, though, and I'm due for another one soon...I've got a couple of friends who go every Monday so I'll probably hit it up in the coming weeks.

RBnR is ready. I picked up a NY Strip and some sausage on my way home. I can't decide what to do.

Sorry, just saw the question about the grilled potatoes. Slice into 1/4 inch or so disks. Simmer for just a few minutes and then grill after brushing with butter and seasoning.

No kidding...even the gps was scared. We got wrong directions to the interstate. Eventually found our way back to I-10. Ended up taking us about 45 minutes to get home. Should have taken about 20 or 25.

I remember back in the early 2000s you could show up right when Bob went on and get a spot at the bar.

yeah, we were in USC territory, but still not a great part of town. Definitely an area I'm not headed out to for dinner tonight.
